All our templates that support Clarion 9 have been bumped to version 4 to make it easy for developers to know if they have a version that works with Clarion 9.

 

●Manual Duplex Scanning

ProScan now makes it possible for your software to give your customers the benefits of duplex page scanning  (a.k.a - scanning both sides of a stack of pages placed in a sheet feeder) without the need to upgrade their hardware!  Manual Duplex Scanning lets your software scan one side of a stack of pages, then the user simply turns the stack around and scans the other side without shuffling pages.  Then the ProScan templates will merge both stack scans into a single document as if it was scanned with an expensive duplex scanner!

 

●Advanced Scanner Setup Control

ProScan now has an Advanced tab in the scanner setup that allows you to have 100% control over what commands are sent to the scanner in each profile.  This fine control has proven to make it possible to get some scanners to work correctly with your app that may have not worked as expected in the past.  Note that this is not a guaranteed fix for all scanner control problems, but our tests have shown very positive results in many cases.

 

●No File Handling option

ProScan now allows you to not use any of the standard file handling options.  This allows you to "roll your own" method of dealing with file storage and placement during processing.

 

●Improvements and Fixes

There have been a number of minor improvements and tweaks to the templates as well as some small bug fixes.
